Air Compressors are quite complex
machinery and consist of many different parts, as with any
mechanical device there con be problems and things can go
wrong. If this becomes the case with your machinery do not
panic it does not mean it is useless... Compressors hold
quite a big market for spare parts, they are quite easy to
come across and if you look in correct place not to costly
either. Why replace a whole expensive unit when you can
simply replace the damaged parts. Below is a list of some
of the parts you may require in case of system
failure:
Pressure Gauges: If your pressure gauge
malfunctions / breaks your compressor essentially become
useless, you can not blow air into a device without knowing
how much is going in, this could potentially ruin what the
compressor is attached to. There is no need to get a new
compressor though as these parts are widely available and
can be picked up for as little as 7.95 Franks.
Pressure Switch: An essential component
and slightly harder and more costly to replace then the
Pressure Gauges, still not a lost cause and can be picked
up for about 22.99 Franks however you may require some one
else to fit this part for you.
Air Lines with Couplings: If the line
air is passed through has become damaged, these can also be
replaced with ease, they can be manufactured with up to
10mm bore size and can be fitted yourself simply by
unscrewing and replacing it with the new air line.
There are many other parts out there air filters being
one of the most common to go, have a look around and you
will find the part you need at a reasonable price.
